Disability Litigation and Benefits Advocacy Unit

How We Help

We represent disabled individuals who can no longer support themselves through employment because of illness or injury to prove their eligibility for Social Security Disability benefits and other programs for which they may qualify.  We strive to help disabled clients and their families attain the maximum degree of stability and financial well being using a broad range of legal and estate planning tools..  We focus our representation on the following areas of law:

    •  Appeals at hearing level in Social Security Disability cases, including SSDI and SSI
    • Appeals in Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) programs including EAEDC, TAFDC and SNAP/FoodStamps
    • Access to MassHealth and other healthcare resources
    • Appeals in denial of coverage cases against private disability insurance providers

We also provide legal education trainings to community groups and service providers on Social Security and disability related topics.  If you are interested in receiving or hosting a training, please contact us.
